Nomination Rules

Rules & Requirements

Please read carefully before submitting your nomination.

1. Calls for nomination will be published on relevant digital platforms or communicated directly to potential nominees. This constitutes sufficient notice. Nominations are Free.

2. The Nominee is evaluated based on the criteria listed for each category, taking into consideration, where appropriate, individual profiles, achievements and financial performance, in the designated time-frame and data from regulators.3. Individuals, businesses, or brands may be nominated in multiple categories if they meet the criteria for each.

4. If a category receives too few qualified nominations, GBA reserves the right to cancel that category.

5. All nominations must be submitted through the official online platform before the published deadline. Extensions may be granted when necessary.

6. Nominations can be submitted by individuals, companies, or third parties. If nominated by a third party, the nominee will be contacted to confirm and complete the entry. Failure to respond by the given deadline will result in disqualification.

7. All entries will be vetted for eligibility and assigned to the appropriate categories.

8. Each award category winner will receive one (1) branded trophy, a medal, and a badge. In the event that a trophy is damaged after it has been awarded, the cost of repair or replacement shall be the responsibility of the recipient.

9. All submitted information and documents are confidential and will be used solely for judging and verification purposes.

10. A nominee who wishes to withdraw from the nomination process must formally notify the organizers at least 14 days in advance. This ensures adequate time for adjustments and maintains the integrity of the awards process.

11. GBA events are filmed and may be publicly distributed. Attendance implies consent to the use of your image for promotional purposes by Makeup Ghana Limited and its affiliates.

12. Incomplete, late, altered, or improperly submitted entries may be disqualified.

13. By submitting a nomination, all nominees agree to abide by these rules and the final decisions of the GBA Board and Sponsors, which are binding and non-negotiable.

14. All submitted materials become the property of GBA. Nominees will be contacted for promotional opportunities or follow-ups.

15. Nominees who fail to meet key requirements—such as availability for interviews or verification—may be disqualified. If any form of misrepresentation is discovered, the award may be revoked.

16. In general, across all the categories, unless otherwise specified, the scores allocated to each nominee shall be weighted as follows to reach a final total score for that nominee: Judges: 40%, Public Votes: 30% and Awards Committee: 30%

17. Winners will NOT be notified prior to the Awards night.
